The Rotary Club of Ashgrove/The Gap, together with the Department of Home Affairs, hosts the Rotary club’s Citizenship Ceremony on Australia Day, which falls on 26 January each year.  We first hosted candidates in 1993, and ran our first formal ceremony in 1994.

New citizens are welcomed into the local community in a friendly yet formal ceremony, with typical Aussie refreshments and a bush band in attendance.

Persons interested in receiving their Australian citizenship at this small and personal ceremony should contact the Department of Home Affairs and advise their wishes to the Officers with their Application for Citizenship.  The club only hosts the ceremony, it has no role in the decision process.
